Job Description:

In this pivotal role, the Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining backend applications and components that power Standard Chartered’s technological infrastructure. The position demands a proactive approach to development, where you’ll not only implement modules according to established standards and guidelines but also strive to create reusable components that enhance efficiency across projects. A key aspect of the job involves writing effective unit test cases to ensure code reliability and stability. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively within a team, adhering to timelines while liaising with architects during design and implementation phases.

Collaboration is key: you’ll engage with architects for optimal design, partner with the team during planning and implementation, and participate in grooming sessions to refine requirements.   • Beyond technical tasks, you’ll demonstrate ownership of your application or domain, taking accountability for end-to-end responsibilities, including production support as part of a dedicated squad.
